Mission Statement
This Society is being established for the purpose of representing the Pagan Community in UCD college as it is found amongst the student and staff population. The Pagan Community shall be any people who practise:
- A nature-worshipping belief system
- Any form of earth-based spirituality
- Any polytheistic belief system.
The Society will provide a safe space for its members so they may discuss and exchange ideas without fear of interference or discrimination from others.
We would provide a network for our members so they may find out more about established pagan groups active in their areas of the country. The Society would also provide a network through its events for members within the college so that they could meet other pagans of their own age.
The Society would try to encourage the discussion of Pagan beliefs with the view to creating a greater understanding of Paganism in an attempt to overcome problems that arise between the pagan and non-pagan community due to misunderstandings about the practises of pagans.
Our society aims to provide, and arrange venues for, events and services for its members. These would include but not be limited to:
- Lectures and talks
- Workshops
- Discussion groups
- Library facilities
- Other safe forums for the free exchange of ideas
